I gained my education in PRL and then it was simply called—being a locksmith. I’ve studied in vocational school and then I graduated from a technical school.
In those times I worked in the best workshops in Górny Śląsk. In these workshops, I’ve had an access to professional tools and materials. At that times a “sideline” was a normal and sometimes even a sacred thing. Manufacturing could have waited because there was a “sideline” to do. That is how the first knives and swords were made. At that time there wasn’t any demand for hand-made knives. Some of them still remain in my personal collection.
“Enter the Dragon” was a breakthrough from which it all started. Martial arts training has consumed me completely for over 30 years. I’ve divided my time into family, giving classes and working in the police force, in which I served in the antiterrorist division and then with some years passing, I’ve been promoted to be a training officer.
When the retirement approached I came back to the passion I had in my younger days. Nowadays I’m a member of Polish Association of Blacksmith Artists and for a few years now, I’ve been making hand-made knives. Currently, I make knives from damask and mosaic steel.
