My name is Mikołaj Janas. I’m a craftsman with 8 years of experience. I forge weapons from pattern-welded steel (random, twist, feather), all personally hand-forged. My inspirations come from makers beyond the Urals and across the Atlantic, as well as from local Masters. I mostly create original designs, though recently I’ve taken on the challenge of making historical replicas. I also enjoy crafting unconventional pieces. My blades are predominantly made from carbon Damascus steel, and the handles often feature oak — a symbol of strength. In addition to blacksmithing, I’m also passionate about metal casting.
