AK – Adam Kornalski
I have always been interested in knives.
I received the first one from my father.
Then scouting and the first bayonet.
Next-- folding knives.
Fascination with Ray Mark and his bushcraft knives.
I wanted to order one from an English craftsman. He refused.
If he can do it, why can’t I? And that’s how my knife making adventure began.
I started in 2011 from bushcraft knives.
Historical materials are: NCV1, O1 and stainless steel 4H13.
Then it was English O1’s turn.
Currently I use powder steel Bohler and Uddeholm in 90% of the cases.
Stainless and carbon steels which possess fantastic cutting properties at increased hardness 60+ HRC.
I’ve swapped natural materials used on the handles for the high resistance materials, which are designed for conditions that the knives are supposed to be used in.
I mainly use Micarta and G10. It is a cotton canvas and glass fiber saturated with resin.
Colors vary from yellow to black.
My motto- to give a client a reliable, utility knife in the highest workmanship quality and heat-treatment, which I do myself since I’ve started making my own knives.
