We proudly present a unique piece from the collection "Women as Forces of Nature" - Dragonfly 3 of 4, symbolizing the element of Water. This refined work of knife-making art, crafted by the masters at Herman Knives in collaboration with Monika Kalla, is a tribute to the feminine power and gentleness embodied by water. Every detail of the knife - from its blade to the subtle engraving - has been designed to honor the nurturing and flexible qualities that women bring to the world.
Dragonfly 3 is a masterpiece of both technology and traditional craftsmanship. The blade, made from powdered Grosserosen laminate with a Damacore® DC18N core, has a hardness of 61 HRC and a thickness of 3.8 mm, ensuring exceptional sharpness and durability, while its mirror finish adds a refined, luxurious appearance. The handle, crafted from Grade 5 titanium and accented with 24-carat gold, fits perfectly in the hand, while the engraving by Monika Kalla gives this knife profound significance.
The engraving reflects the element of water, embodying the nurturing and adaptable nature of women. Like water, women take on supportive and caring roles essential to life and growth, playing key roles in caring for families, communities, and organizations, providing the support and foundation for development and transformation. Water symbolizes compassion and empathy, qualities often associated with women in both their personal and professional relationships.
The Dragonfly 3 of 4 "Women as Forces of Nature: Water" is not only a tool but also an object of beauty, functionality, and durability. The titanium backspacer and clip underscore its luxurious character, while the ergonomic shape of the handle provides exceptional comfort, particularly for those with larger hands.
Each piece in this series is unique and one-of-a-kind, emphasizing the individuality and craftsmanship of its creators. Dragonfly 3 is a knife for those seeking more than just a tool – it is a symbol that combines functionality with art, commemorating the strength, care, and transformative power of femininity.

Monika Kalla:
The metaphor of women as forces of nature is both powerful and evocative, capturing the diverse and dynamic roles they play in society. By comparing women to the four classical elements - fire, water, earth, and air - we can explore the many dimensions of their strength, resilience, and transformative power. By appreciating these qualities, we can better recognize and support the vital roles women play in shaping our world.
